Libby had her first sleepover . . . last week Paige (our neighbor) joined us for a sleepover. A great time was had by all and there were only a few minutes of whispers before both girls fell asleep and slept until 7:45 the next morning. Of course, now every night Libby asks if Paige can sleep over ![]()

We’ve ordered another matching headboard (already had matching bedding), so there will permanently be two twin beds in Libby’s room…I see a lot more sleep-overs in our future!
We had another great weekend…we are having a BLAST this summer! Friday night (after we put the kids to bed) we “celebrated” the end of our favorite TV show, Friday Night Lights with Tim and Emily. There was trivia, costumes (see below), themed-food and lots of laughs!

Coach Taylor and #33 on the field, #1 in our hearts…Tim Riggins
Saturday we hosted a BBQ for a few of Mike’s frat brothers and their families. Oddly enough we all have kids almost the exact same ages – we always have a great time with these friends.
Here are the big kids playing dress-up (Caleb is such a good friend, playing dress-up with the girls!):

And the “babies” . . .you may recall we were all pregnant together one New Years Eve!

Harper and Graham relaxing after a hard day.

Cooper and Calvin in the pool!

Cooper’s first trip to the naughty rug…and looking back he didn’t even do anything that naughty; I think he caught Mike at the wrong time. But there he sat with his hands on his knees for 1 minute without moving or making a peep.

(I don’t know what it is about this picture, but I love it!)
We had a busy week last week – 3 birthday parties (and 1 more this week)! Friday night we took it easy with a family trip to the pool after dinner. Libby loves to swim and jump into the water while Cooper is perfectly content in someone’s arms in the water!
Saturday we went on a family bike with Nanny and Papa on the Monon and it was so fun. Cooper rode in the bike buggy and Libby took turns on the halfwheeler and the buggy. Everyone did great and we can’t wait to go again! After taking advantage of Handel’s $1 ice cream day and going for a brief dip in the pool we headed to church and enjoyed a BBQ on the patio. Libby even got to spend the night with Nanny and Papa!
Sunday morning and early afternoon was all about lawn work, errands and laundry! After our chores we picked up Libby and headed to a fun birthday party at a new splash park. From there it was off to an evening concert at a local park . . .a great time was had by all (as you can see by Cooper’s expression below)!

Last month, a friend of mine lost her little girl, Isabelle. To celebrate her life, and her birthday, her parents have started the “Bubbles for Isabelle” project. Visit the “Bubbles for Isabelle” page on facebook and post a picture of your children blowing bubbles. For each picture posted, Kelley and Richard (Isabelle’s parents) will donate an Aden + Anais baby blanket to a child in need. Their goal is to collect 300 bubble pictures by Isabelle’s 3rd birthday (7/24), and thus donate 300 baby blankets. All you have to do is spend a few minutes blowing bubbles with your kids, take a picture, and post it. Thanks.

Cooper has his 1 year check-up today and he’s long and lean (just like Mommy’s favorite jeans). He was in the 45% for weight (22lb 8.5 oz), 95% for height (31 5/8 in) and 90% for head circumfrance (48 cm) (Cooper’s head-shape is one of my favorite things…he’s got a great profile!). I swear we feed the kid!
Libby at the same age was almost the same size! She was 90% for weight (23), 95% for height (31.5 in).
