Cooper – almost 6 months

It’s hard to believe Cooper is almost 6 months old! He is starting to sit up on his own. He also bends at the waist from a seated position to pick up a toy and lifts himself back up. Cooper is not yet rolling from his back to his belly . . .he is so, so close (action shot below) but just doesn’t want to do it!

Cooper is sleeping at night like a champ but we’re still working on our naps…he still doesn’t stay awake much longer than 2 hours, so typically has a lot of cat naps and one long nap throughout the day. We’ve started him on food and he’s enjoying his veggies but isn’t quite sure what to think about fruit!
Cooper is a sweet, sweet baby – smiling constantly, drooling a lot and bringing much joy to our lives.

back in action . . .

It was a rough few weeks and I wouldn’t have survived without Nanny! I was working 16 hour days and had sick kids (Cooper got his first ear infection – I was devastated . . .Libby was 18 mo before her first cold and 3 before her first ear infection!) but my Mom (yet again!) came to the rescue and was a huge help the last few weeks. I am looking forward to a few weeks of this:

and spending some quality time with these two + Mike and our familes:

What a great picture of these two. Can you tell they absolutely adore each other?! Cooper’s entire face lights up the moment he hears/sees Libby and Libby is such a sweet big sister – singing to Cooper when he fusses and wanting to help so much. I think her favorite part of the day is joint bath time, that Mike has mastered. Honestly, Mike balances both kiddos better than I do!
