Cooper has visited our pediatrician twice now and is doing great! At about 1 week he was 8lbs 7.5 oz (72%) and 21.25 inches long (93%) . . .for those keeping track at home, that means he grew 1.25 inches since birth. Obviously he was mis-measured upon arrival. The nurses at our pediatrician’s office said typically the opposite is true – often the delivery process and/or medications cause the baby to “stretch” at birth and they often “shrink” by their first appt. Regardless, something is “off” – Cooper’s birth length is probably closer to 21 inches.
At week 2 Cooper weighed 9 lbs 1.5 oz (88%) and grew .25 inches (96%).
As I was entering this in Cooper’s baby book I was curious how this compared to Libby. They weighed exactly the same at their 1 weeks appt and Libby outweighed Cooper by 2.5 oz at week 2.
