Vampires, Witches and Minnie – oh my!?!

Jorie, her sister in law Erin, me and our girls headed to Zoo Boo last night. We had a great time, took advantage of the 70 degree weather and saw a lot of great costumes (and interesting people). We continued our girls night out after the zoo with Pizza Express Hot Box Pizza.

Libby wanted a sad pumpkin…and a happy one and Daddy delivered!

reading: Happens Everyday for bookclub. Listening to/reading Eclipse any chance I get.
eating: bocca chicken pot pie, upside down pizza
making: thinking about picking up the knitting needles again and knitting some scarfs for the Love Scarf Project. It’s been 3+ years since I’ve knitted; I need a refresher! Also making lots of meals for friends that are having babies. Delivered one last night and another one tonight…two more meals in November…yeah babies!
listening to: Disney’s Greatest Hits, Ruditunz
planning: to have a fun Halloween, going to Holiday Mart, dinner party for Mike’s Mom’s 60th!
We attended a Halloween Party on Friday night and had a great time eating, catching up with friends and hunting for candy. The Rowe’s went all out with a great food spread, AMAZING decorations and lots of spooky fun. Libby loved the cat that was in the Rowe’s front yard – it turned it’s head every so often. . .much to Libby’s delight!

Libby partied hard until about 10:30 pm and lucky for Mike, she slept in until 9 am (I left for the gym before they were awake)!

Libby and I had our Mom’s Group Halloween party last week. This was Libby’s first chance to wear her costume (since first wearing it at Disney last February) and she was very excited. Special thanks to Aunt Julie for making such a special costume for Libby. Here’s Libby with a few friends (how cool is the Bat Girl costume? I am TOTALLY going to be Bat Girl next year).

. . . than playing in a pile of leaves with friends! We’ve had a warm spell the past few days and we’ve taken advantage of it – playing outside A LOT! Here’s Libby with some friends in the neighborhood:

HALLOWEEN and we are having so much fun! Libby is having so much fun and so into Halloween and all the decorations.
Check out the awesome spider and web Mike made a few weekends ago; it looks great and all the kids in the neighborhood love it (that or they are sucking up because they know Mike hands out full sized candy bars to the trick or treaters).

Next year Libby says she wants “ghosts and a witch and a skeleton for decorations” – we’ll see!
Next Tuesday, my bookclub is picking books to read for the next 6 months…any recommendations? So far I’ve jotted down the following:
The Road
The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down
Please share some books you’ve enjoyed! Sometimes I feel like I get into a Jodi Picoult/Jennifer Weiner/Nicholas Sparks rut and I am excited to read news things!
We are going to see this in December. Oddly enough, I’m R*E*A*L*L*Y excited. I guess being with Mike for 10 years is starting to rub off on me.
