We went to a “Safety Day” held at a nearby hospital. It had all sorts of emergency vehicles and such to explore:

On Sunday night we got out the Halloween decorations – Libby loved seeing all the “new” things and helping to decorate the house. We’re also busy working on our Halloween costumes as we have a ton of Halloween related activities/parties that require costumes – can’t wait!

I can’t wait to try these pumpkin cupcakes – they look delicious and easy!

On Sunday, Libby’s schedule was “off”. She enjoyed a fun day at the Children’s Museum with Mike and fell asleep on the way home (Saturday night was a late night at a former neighbors new house – she ran around with the big kids and had a great time…it was past 10 when she went to bed on Saturday and she was up at 7:30 am on Sunday!). Libby woke up while trying to transition from car seat to bed – had a hard time falling back asleep – and ended up sleeping until 5:45pm. Needless to say, she had a rough time falling asleep on Sunday after such a late nap. Here’s the serenade we got for over an hour!

I bought these shoes 5-6 years ago in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for something like $10 and I love them. They make me feel happy when I wear them! Pedicure appt is on the calendar, I promise.

I made this recipe tonight (trying to get ahead and make some food for the week) and it was easy, pretty quick and looks great. Note: I didn’t have any Italian Sausage, so we used ground beef and it turned out ok. Looking forward to trying the turkey sausage next time.

As I mentioned I’m swamped…stressed…working like a dog. Several times a day I take a look at this lovely frock and I feel a little less stress. Please don’t think I’m nuts, but I think it takes me somewhere else…wearing the dress and going on a date with Mike, tea with my Mom, etc. I just think it’s so pretty. Bows, ruffles, pleats…

I’m beyond swamped and posts are few and far between…good thing our friends posted some weekend recaps to keep my readers happy.

We spent Friday night and Saturday morning with the Oskay Girls (always a great time and throw in the fall festival and it was even better)….and Saturday Night with the Pucci’s and Jeff. The funniest part of Saturday night was Libby’s nickname for Ben (the friend that introduced Mike and I…all together now “awwwwwwwww”)…arguably one of the biggest guys she’s ever seen, she kept calling him “little guy” and it was so darn funny.

And it looks like my husband’s got a nice post, too.
