Bloomington

My Dad and Brother came out for their annual IU basketball game. This year we headed to Bloomington early on Saturday morning and had brunch at Village Deli. We walked from Kirkwood down Third Street and back towards Kirkwood via the Union and visited every store that sold IU apparel before heading to Assembly Hall.

This year we didn’t have our typical stellar seats, but you couldn’t beat the price for first row balcony ($5 each…it’s a rough year for the Hoosiers!). It was a good first half, but the Hoosiers fell apart during the second half and lost.

Thanks for a fun weekend, Dad and Sean…thanks for watching Libby on Friday.

Necklace

necklace1necklace2Back before Christmas I blogged about this necklace. Mike claims he tried to order it for my Christmas present but it was sold out. I was very excited when Libby and were shopping at Target and I found a very similar nockoff for about $99 less than the J Crew necklace!

Fashion Show!

Before we left for San Diego I had Libby try on her bathing suit (wishful thinking on my part). Her one piece from last year is too short but her two piece still fit. I told Libby we were going to do a fashion show…this is her running around in her Uggs yelling “FASHION SHOW! FASHION SHOW!”,fashion_show

Recipes for Lent

I’ve been trying to brain storm recipes to make for the next few Friday’s:

- grilled cheese and tomato soup
- jambalaya – shrimp only and add some veggies – peppers, etc
- shrimp tacos (one of my favs)
- veggie quesadillas
- bocca chicken pot pie
- veggie calzones
- mediterranean tuna casserole (I haven’t tried this recipe and tuna casserole typically doesn’t sound appealing to me, but this is a Martha recipe…she makes everything look good).
