2 weeks

Libby had her 2 week appt on Friday and all is well. I was concerned b/c she seems to be feeding less in the last week than she did in her first week. My concerns ended when Libby was weighed. She’s tipping the scales at 9 lbs 4 oz – 2 oz shy of gaining a pound in one week. . .that’s my girl! The Dr thinks that Libby’s feeding less because 1) she’s becoming a more efficient eater and 2) my milk has arrived “in full”.

I talked to the Dr about introducing Libby to a bottle and got the green light since she obviously has no trouble feeding. I pumped and Libby took a bottle last night from Dad and another one again this morning from Grandma. Hopefully she’ll take another one from Dad tonight around midnight so I can sleep. Coincidentally, Libby tends to have gas/stomach troubles from about 11pm – 2 am, so Dad’s been staying up late dealing with those!

We took this picture of all 9 lbs 4 oz of Libby on Friday night:

Ditto on the cuteness! That is such a great idea to measure Libby against a stuffed animal. Keep it up–I did it the first 3 months then stopped for some reason. I thought I’d pick it back up at 6 months but now she’s 7.5 months and I still haven’t done it!

Off Topic–Shannon do you have a nursing cover for out in public? If not let me know because I found one that is great and I still use it when people come to the house and when I’m out and about.

Erin – I do have a nursing cover. My sister in law made me one (she made an exact replica of a real one that her friend had). I haven’t done much feeding in public, but have no doubt I will use it when the time comes! Thanks for the tip – keep them coming . . .I can learn a lot from you guys!
