Meeting their little sis!

Libby and Cooper were finally able to hold Paige yesterday…Cooper for a little while in the nicu while Libby was at school and Libby after school. We’re excited to be heading home today and for the real adventure to begin!

We had a great summer . . .Monday thru Thursday evenings you could find us at the pool (and most weekends, too!) where Libby enjoyed weeks of swimming lessons and Cooper enjoyed playing in the “baby pool” with friends.

Libby started the summer in level 3 and graduated to level 5. She also passed her diving board test like a champ (this involved swimming 25 M, pausing for 10 seconds and swimming 25 M back). While the swimming lessons helped, we owe a big thank you to Papa, who, most weeks took Libby to the pool for some private swimming lessons to help her improve her stroke and learn how to breathe and stay afloat at the same time.
Photo below is from her final swimming lesson “graduation” – so proud of our little fish!

Libby’s Big Day!

My baby girl started Kindergarten today – we had a great morning and are so proud of her!

Big Day for Cooper and Papa

My parents took Cooper to a local airport to check out a B17 Bomber, the “flying fortress” named the Texas Raider. Cooper had a great time and was even able to see helicopters/jets and try his hand in the cockpit (with Papa’s help!)

Easter Fun

We had a busy weekend and I wanted to share some pictures and such since it’s been so long since I blogged. We started the weekend with an Easter Egg Hunt at our local park and followed that with an Easter Bonnet contest held by our favorite photographer. Attached are the kiddos with their entries…I accessorized Libby’s hat with “button bunnies” and Mike crafted Cooper’s bird nest/nature hat.

From there, Libby and I went to get our hair cut and we were able to donate a little over 8 inches to Pantene’s Great Lengths campaign. More Easter fun ensued as we dyed eggs, let Cooper take his first (very quick) dip in the hot tub, had a sleep over at Nanny and Papas and celebrated more with both sides of the family today.

We’ve had a busy but fun-filled few days. We are lucky enough to have both sides of the family in town and we’ve been on the go-go-go! Tonight I went to Hinkle Fieldhouse with my Dad, brother, sister-in-law and nephew and we cheered the Bulldogs onto victory!

Merry Christmas to all

. . .and to all a goodnight!

It’s a pinterest Christmas

Special thanks to Nanny for helping to sew the final product…and thanks to pintrest for the idea! Nanny also helped to make this shirt for Libby and I’m hoping to make this one, too.

We rode the Polar Express!

HOT-HOT-HOT-hot chocolate (and delicious cookies)!

Enjoying the book before our arrival at the “North Pole”.

Dinner with Santa

Last Saturday Nanny and Papa brought Libby to dinner with Santa at Connor Prairie. A good time was had by all:

Cooper enjoyed a “guys night” with Mike while I enjoyed a girls night out with friends in Fountain Square. A good time really was had by ALL!
