We’ve had a busy but fun-filled few days. We are lucky enough to have both sides of the family in town and we’ve been on the go-go-go! Tonight I went to Hinkle Fieldhouse with my Dad, brother, sister-in-law and nephew and we cheered the Bulldogs onto victory!

Special thanks to Nanny for helping to sew the final product…and thanks to pintrest for the idea! Nanny also helped to make this shirt for Libby and I’m hoping to make this one, too.

Last Saturday Nanny and Papa brought Libby to dinner with Santa at Connor Prairie. A good time was had by all:

Cooper enjoyed a “guys night” with Mike while I enjoyed a girls night out with friends in Fountain Square. A good time really was had by ALL!

We got our first snow yesterday afternoong/evening and the kiddos were excited, especially Cooper.
Yesterday we also had our elf on the shelf visit. Libby named him Scott and after about 7 hours with Scott on our mantle she proclaimed “I don’t like him here watching me. I don’t want presents from Santa; I want you and Daddy to buy my presents.” Niiiiiice. She was thrilled to find Scott again this morning.

Happy Birthday to my sweet husband, amazing father and all around great guy! Emily and I have planned a fun night for our birthday boys (Tim and Mike share the same birthday). . .we’re heading south to IU for a delicious dinner, a few drinks (maybe some sink the biz @ Nick’s), and to see Jon Stewart at the IU Auditorium. No doubt a good time will be had by all!

vintage photo, but it’s one of my favorites.

Can’t believe it’s been over a month since I posted…I’m slacking, but blog is just taking a lower priority than all the other stuff going on. I am trying to get an organized meal plan for next week – here goes:
Gnocchi with summer veggies (I add sausage)
Baked Chicken Penne
Tortilla and Black Bean Pie
Corn and Chicken Chowder

As we like to do at the dinner table, we played “favorite part of the day” tonight. Since it was Libby’s first day of school we asked what her favorite part of the school day was. Libby responded it was “learning the tiger song.” When asked about the tiger song Libby offered to whisper it in my ear. She proceeded to sing “In the jungle, the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight. . . “. You should have seen the shock on her face when I started the ohhhhh-weee-moooo-ways. Soon Mike and I were belting out “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” at the dinner table while Libby laughed and sung along in between the giggles. I wish I had captured this on my camera because we looked over at Cooper during our sing-a-long and he was sitting in his highchair with his hands over his ears! PRICELESS!

So happy to be back at school!
